Final Words

The final three words I longed to hear
Uttered at last irrevocable and clear.
Like melted fire in utter complacence;
A compelling period at the end of a sentence.
My heart sighs in unadulterated contentment
A conclusive laud to an unanswered lament.
Yet these eyes weep not of the mundane
For it has risen a step above the Profane.
Accept, detach and return to the Illimitable Immortal
Without past, without future – only the divine presence of the Celestial.
